This post has nothing to do with blogging, making money online, SEO or marketing. Today I want to talk about my favorite YouTube video.

One day I was reading some blogs and I found out about this guy called Matt Harding. I saw that he had a few videos on YouTube so I got curious and started to watch the videos. My first thought was: “What the hell is wrong with this guy?” But I kept on watching the videos and my jaw dropped when I finally read the story about this guy.

Matt Harding is a guy from Connecticut who used to work in Australia. One day he got tired of his job and decided to travel through Asia with some friends. His friends know that Matt is an awful dancer and that he does this crazy and stupid dance were he makes a fool of himself.

A few months into their trip, Matt and his friends went to Hanoi, Vietnam. One of his friends told him to do the dance and he recorded him with his video camera. After the trip was over, Matt’s friend decided to upload the video to the internet to make fun of him.

A couple of years went by and the video got very popular online. Millions of people started watching Matt’s stupid dance. One day the people of Stride Gum watched the video and decided to give Matt a call. They asked him if he was interesting in traveling the world doing his dance and he accepted.

Matt went around the world for 6 months doing his stupid dance in different cities. This made him semi-popular and an online video star.

A few months later he went back to Stride Gum and told them about the idea of taking another trip, but this time he was going to dance with people of every city.

This video was a total hit and he got really famous. This guy is not rich, didn’t go to college and doesn’t have a job (except Stide’s Gum sponsorship). The cool thing of this guy is that his videos really inspire people. They use the perfect song for the dance and it really is very motivating. I hope someday I could travel the world like Matt Harding.

Try to be patient and watch the whole video:
