Last night at midnight, Facebook started giving away personal URL’s with your username. You can get your own URL for your personal profile, group or page.
Why get your own URL?
Easy. Logon to your Facebook personal profile and check out the URL. Long and complicated right? Well, if you’re accustomed to give your Facebook URL to your friends, fans, clients, etc. By getting your own URL people are going to find it a lot easier to access your profile, group or page.
A few minutes I logged on to my Asswass page but Facebook denied my own URL. They said that I need at least 1.000 fans or wait to June 28th.
Personal URL’s are going fast so I’m worried that I would miss my chance. So please help me get own my personal URL.
How?
- Become a Fan.
- Retweet this Post.
- Digg this post.
- Send my Facebook Page to your friends and readers.
- Send this post to your friends and readers.

This new URL system for Facebook should’ve been done a long time ago. The old urls were just too complicated and it made it extremely difficult to share your Facebook link with your friends, family, and co-workers. I mean, if Twitter was able to do it so early why couldn’t Facebook? With that said, i’m still happy that Facebook has finally taken the extra step of doing this.
What should I write about Ben?
I don’t know either Brad but I’m glad they finally did. The problem is that I can’t create my own URL if I don’t have a 1.000 fans.

On myspace you can put your own music on the page so when people visit they hear your music choice playing. Can you do this on facebook as well? If so how do I do it?
I don’t think they still have this application. You can email Facebook if you want to.
