Since yesterday I wrote a special post about my my new apartment, I moved this week’s Monday WOP to Tuesday WOP. The title says “Best Blog Platform of the Internet” but I want to ask you guys which Blog Platform you use for your blogs. I’ve only had 3 blogs in my life; two of them were an experiment with Blogger and this blog which I decided to get my own domain name and hosting. I can only say that Wordpress rocks and Blogger sucks. I don’t know anything about the other Blog Softwares or Platforms, so I’m not going to say anything about it.
How about you?

Wordpress is the best free blogging platform. My vote goes to wp. You also mentioned worpress by keeping it on the top of other platform.
I used to use Blogger but after discovering WordPress many moons ago I’ve stuck with that, I just love the amount of tweaking via plugins etc that can done..
As any developer will tell you (I’m not one of them though), Drupal and Joomla are way better than Wordpress as CMS…But if you are to only blog, Wordpress is the best deal for a majority of us..
I’ve used typepad too, and that’s great too. But I think that costs money unlike Wordpress and not sure how many plugins are out there..
Hey Ricky, I wrote the answers based on knowledge. Since Wordpress and Blogger are the only platforms I know, I put them on top
.
Hi Karen, I agree with you. The greatest thing about Wordpress are all the web developers that contribute with the platform.
Hi Anand, I’ve never used Drupal, Joomla or Typepad, but I’m no web developer so what do I know? lol
I voted, I think it pretty much goes without saying that WP is going to dominate this.
I know some blogger that use blogger and not even buy a domain. Some of them also using blogger basic template like minima template without any change at all but they know their shit. So they still capable generate 4 digit $ every month.
Until today I learn from them and one day I hope I have their agreement to write about them. I ask them once and they did not give their agreement. This is important to us because many of us always think about domain name, template and blogging platform but still….you the next
haha I think it’s obvious John, but let’s see if there are some blogger aficionados.
That’s a good example Bill. I think that marketeer Seth Godin uses Type Pad and he doesn’t even own a domain name. I’ve also heard of great blogs that use blogger without hosting and their domain name. I think it’s all about content.
Wordpress without question for blogs. I haven’t been here in a while Alfredo. It’s good to catch up on your posts.
I too have been out of pocket for the last seven days while hiking the Appalachian Trail in N. Carolina. Told myself I would stay away from a computer for 7 days in a row and it wasnt till the second day I started asking people if the trail had WiFi! Just kidding!
I dont use the free version of WP but I do use WP and it rocks. However, blogger has been doing some upgrading and its much better than it was, as long as you dont want advertising other than adsense on it.
@boomerblogger, the Appalachian Trail? I hiked that trail in Maine, I think. It goes all the way to Maine right? I love hiking, specially the White Mountains in New Hampshire. No WIFI my friend, lol.
